State TAFE Minister Geoff Lee correctly implies that we are needing to retrain our workers to focus on where the jobs are and not be blinded by the ego boosting “uni-degree” that has amply equipped the unemployable. (Our wool workers’ win is shear bliss, 19/8). Trading in traditional hairdresser clippers for the rough and tumble of the woodshed, 23-year-old Bailee Graham is inspirational. The skills of patience, persistence and commitment should fully equip her for success against the boys. The job is not a speed test. Monster sized rams will be physically too challenging, but she needs to leave something for the boys to be best at, lest she smote their egos altogether. Her TAFE course might yet make her a legend.
