Two Liberal MPs have been threatened by angry voters over the abortion bill being rushed through with minimal community consultation, which perhaps explains this over-reaction. And now, we learn that Julia Finn, Labor MP for Granville may also be targeted for exercising her conscience vote against abortion. (Bill hits home for Hazzard 16/8). It is disappointing that there is an expectation that females in the Labor Party would naturally favour abortion. We should be sympathetic to our MPs on both sides, who have been forced to take a very public stand on a divisive issue that deserves far greater consultation. I pay tribute to Ms Finn for truly representing her electorate, not factional ideologues. Alan Sexton, North Parramatta. 17Aug2019.
