Dripping with a little sarcasm and perhaps a heart full of parody, correspondent Holly Truelove regales us with a tongue-in-cheek analysis of the chemistry of introductions relating to the car crash when Albo greeted Tanya Plibersek at the Labor Party campaign launch (“Should we ditch the kiss” DT, 16/4). In the context of a rocky past when a dawn duel might be preferred, the pretense of an unwanted embrace was definitely going to end badly. Truelove gets full marks for seeking serious analysis from specialists at the Sydney School of Protocol, cleverly compounding the ridicule.
