The Cancel Culture of the mad leftists was certain to evoke a backlash, but I was surprised at the intensity and suddenness. (Shows’ last laugh, 13/6). With Amazon blown away, making record sales on Gone With The Wind, HBO’s backflip on their ban went unnoticed by the market. Other banned masterpieces enjoyed similar success. Westfield Parramatta subtly expressed their opposition to this nonsense as I read the Telegraph article, by loudly playing The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, a song commemorating the fall of the Confederacy and it’s military commander General Robert E Lee, statues of whom the Cancel Culture has a revisionist policy to destroy. Hopefully Australian companies remain immune to this nonsense. Alan Sexton, North Parramatta 15June2020.
