News that the National Party, in close contact with remote Indigenous communities in the far-flung reaches of Australia, are strongly opposing the establishment of the constitutionally embedded Voice to Parliament is to be acclaimed. The Voice will surely divide Indigenous communities, whether in sparse remote areas or populous urban groups, as their focus and priorities are very dissimilar.
