Bustling on the front page of the Sunday Telegraph with the broadest of smiles and the scars of battle with cardiac surgeons proudly on show, it’s clear that Jimmy Barnes is “Shipping Steel” himself now with his sternum all wired up. (Too tough to kill, 11/2). As I contemplated “Breakfast at Sweethearts” on this Sunday morning, I wondered where better to flick through Sydney’s best paper! Proving life is a “Merry-go-round” and ill-health wasn’t about to show him the “Door”, it seems our own modern day Superman is proving to be immune to kryptonite. He is not intent on singing “Goodbye” anytime soon. Wearing his miraculous medal, perhaps there was a little help from above. For entertaining us so well over such a long time, I’m sure all Australians rejoice at his recovery and good spirits. “Too tough to kill” would make a great album, Jimmy.
