As an outside observer of Liberal Party politics, the waffling of NSW vice-president Mary-Lou Jarvis appears to be a marvellous concoction of statistics, cleverly manicured through the prism of self interest. (Liberal men the biggest vote losers, 18/7). Suggesting more division, feminism and misplaced quotas are the solution for a party that has betrayed a conservative base, which bled votes to independents and teals, is surely dancing with the devil. Most of her stats relate to two party preferred numbers, ignoring that there were swings against both parties. Unity and great policy are the keys to winning. Skipping to the tune of Mary-Lou won’t be a vote winner. Alan Sexton, North Parramatta 19July2022.
