Young people in a foreign country during a murderous pandemic understandably seek comfort from others. Ironically, such contaminating closeness might be more destructive than the long-term effects of them sharing cigarettes or alcohol as depicted. (A pack of imbeciles, 2/4). Oblivious to danger, we have seen instances of the same age group imbibing party drugs, driving recklessly and other terminal behaviours. The Earth-shattering realisation must be that acquisition of COVID-19 pneumonia means they might die alone with their loved ones thousands of miles away. With so many heroic doctors fearful for their patients, families and themselves, these youth must accept the wisdom that if contaminated, they risk killing more people than just themselves.
