Conviction politicians are a rare breed in the NSW Parliament, outnumbered by career-minded party hacks, whose speeches are passionless, goals irrelevant and loyalties traded. (Labor’s now run by lefty loonies’, 18/1). Bankstown MP Tania Mihailuk knows that the political world relies entirely on the currency of credibility, where being taken seriously is your lifeblood. Although having badmouthed One Nation MP Mark Latham in the past, she now concludes that it is easier to reconcile with his views than the woke leftists ideologues in the Labor Party. With parliamentary privilege, she has called out opponents for scrutiny to ensure that Labor corruption in previous governments is not tolerated. She is surely doing Mr Minns a favour.
