Many Australians might share my disgust with the entitled tennis players of the world bemoaning our border security and COVID-19 quarantine (Aces Rafa and Serena back Oz iso-rules, 28/1). Forewarned, they appear ignorant that without our low contagious environment, there would be no Australian Open Tennis Tournament. The irony of one petulant player whingeing before testing positive for COVID-19 shouldn’t be missed. Thanks must go to Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams for agreeing with, and supporting, our authorities publicly. With sad statistics back home, I’m sure Aussies would welcome them to stay for a while after the tournament. It’s obvious they are finding out why this is the best country in the world.
