News that ALP drop-in and former NSW premier Kristina Keneally was corroding the Labor primary vote by 13 per cent in the gold-standard, rock-solid seat of Fowler deserves analysis by those taking such matters seriously. (Keneally’s parachute snagged in Fowler, 17/5). Floundering during the campaign, the ex-senator might find her descent during the metaphorical parachute jump to be nothing compared to the speedy drop in the Labor vote itself. Keneally’s influence in Parramatta during the 2011 state election was a 25 per cent swing downhill. Should we expect history to repeat itself? Alan Sexton, North Parramatta 18May2022.
