President Donald Trump has kept another promise by recently avoiding war with Iran when provoked, and removing US troops out of harm’s way from Syria. (Trump’s threat to destroy Turkey, 16/10). His “war and peace” preferred strategy is played out on the financial and economic chessboard. In his world of financial negotiation, Trump is the unbridled master. An aggressive economic strategy will hurt the rich within Turkey’s elite political circle. Military engagement greatly affects soldiers and their families. If an economic plan targets the real villains, it should be preferred. Trump must engage with the strategy where he is most adept. I strongly applaud him keeping his soldiers safe.
