The assertion that our young people should be looking to politicians to set the standard on behaviour is nonsense. (Pollies must set the standard for others to follow – Comment, 1/12). Despicable offences have been hidden and are a source of shame. Compounded by inalienable hypocrisy and double standards which are an extension of the foibles of the politically powerfully, no lessons are to be learnt in this festering quagmire.
