Little doubt all Aussies would warmly welcome the influx of Hollywood stardom as more and more screen legends materialise at Mascot. (Matt soars as he loves life in the Harbour City, 13/3). A mostly COVID-free Down Under has clearly added to the appeal, but I reckon a few might decide to stay well after the movie sets are switched off and the money’s in the bank. Climbing to the top of our metropolis without a Jason Bourne armoury at hand nor a bodyguard in sight might explain the amazing smile on Matt Damon’s face. We, unlike our troupe of roving visitors, are well used to our smog free skies and innate amicability, which is so easy to take for granted. Four years ago, many Hollywood stars threatened self-imposed exile if Trump was President, but few actually left the country. With his recent replacement, they are leaving in droves.
