As the world was starved of Big Macs (if only for 10 hours) due to computer failures, one is surely tempted to celebrate a miraculous health initiative and pray for a recurrence. (Macca’s back after IT outage, 17/3). Local hosting for both restaurant services and computer networks failed. As customers became cursors, computer chips ruined the French fries, the managers decompensated into a “McFlurry” and the only bytes happening were at computer terminals warming up faster than a well done McSpicy burger, it seems everyone was best giving Maccas the boot. Looking for a port in this techno-storm, it seemed docking at Macca’s drive-through was no gateway to culinary delight. This MAC address was a hub to be avoided by the mindful driver in the quest for cookie delights.
