I pay tribute to The Daily Telegraph’s campaign giving support to our military veterans. All Australians should read the heart-wrenching story of army doctor Daniel Mealey. (Escaping dark and deadly pit of despair, 2/11). The lost young men and women, who cannot cope with life after war must be helped. Official support networks should give psychological and financial help to all returning servicemen. Sometimes, the loving family around our soldiers is not enough to quell the demons of war.
