There is irony in 2024 US Presidential candidate Donald Trump no doubt boosting campaign donations with publicity from the Stormy Daniels case. ( I want the mugshot out there, says Don, 3/4). Setting aside aspects of morality, only if campaign funds were linked to pay off Daniels did Trump break the law. Ample campaign funds might well have gotten him into this pickle in the first place. No doubt, many across the USA pine for a return to a regimen of low interest rates, zero inflation, energy self-sufficiency, record low unemployment, foreign allies not taking the US for granted, no new wars and best of all, the most exciting White House press conferences of all time. Unable to drain the Washington swamp in his first term and being considerably older, facing overwhelming opposition, perhaps his third campaign will depict him as a Don Quixote figure rather than just Don Trump.
