“Do as I say, not what I do” best exemplifies a terrible standard of hubris from British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, as his few remaining paper-thin leadership credentials are flushed down the toilet and into the Thames. (Unfit to be PM: top Tory turns on Boris, 21/4). As the growing crescendo of colleagues turns on the great uncombed one, those revering eloquence, cogency and tradition are surely spinning in their graves or rushing to them in despair. Between US President Joe Biden and the UK PM, there is a monumental race to the bottom. Western leadership is a vacuous, intellect-free zone. Boris should be booted without doubt.
