While most children revel in trading in their missing molars, few reverse the trend by receiving 23 million- year-old, priceless ivories, (It’s ours if tooth be told, 30/9). As a child, Sir David Attenborough was given fossils, which inspired a lifetime of dedication to the beauty and majesty of our animal kingdom.
