Many of the philosophies and practices of the medical profession are to be acclaimed in helping the NSW government manage Covid. However, the idea that individuals’ identities should always be protected under the mantle of patient confidentiality must be reassessed. The latest example of individuals breaching health orders and taking the virus with them across the state should be forcefully condemned, especially by those recommending the orders in the first place.
