North Sydney federal MP Kylea Tink should be smiling like a Cheshire cat, having already beaten the Liberals by taking their prized seat on the northern shores of Sydney. (Teals call out parliament ‘hissing, eye rolls’, 14/9). To retake the seat of North Sydney and hold it, without the balance of power issue, will be difficult for the Libs. Those antagonists annoyingly unsettling her might come to rue the day, if she is still there after the next election helping other Independents hold the balance of power and with a heart full of resentment. Tony Abbott had an “interesting” meeting with newly elected Senator Pauline Hanson in 2016 after effectively contributing to her earlier prosecution. As a former boss at the McGrath Foundation, Tink is surely deserving of much respect from any man who’s wife or mum are potentially confronted with the realities of breast cancer. The foundation’s great work has brought many smiles to the faces of those it assisted. Kylea must keep her head (and smile) high above the fray while the mindless critics guarantee her re-election.
