Having watched this year’s Oscars and having witnessed a real Will Smith “slap in the face”, I think the exaggerated claims of booted Liberal home affairs minister Karen Andrews about Novak Djokovic’s visa ought be challenged. (A slap in the face to allow Djoker in, 11/10). Of course Djokovic should play in the Australian Open. With the focus of mass vaccination being to avoid our hospitals being overwhelmed, the 95 per cent vaccination rate nationally by January 2022 essentially meant we had no reason to fear a visit from an unvaccinated person placing only himself at risk.
