With hopefully rotten egg all over his face, CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg has cast his lot and must now bear the consequences. (Lose quality and lose cash – editorial, 23/2). Zuckerberg’s current behaviour needs to be seen in the light of the founding of Facebook, when he capitalised on the idea of trusting fellow students who, like journalists today, had their ideas and work stolen.
