I’m bewildered why MP Craig Kelly attempts to win the hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) debate in the obviously partisan Facebook pages of chief censor Mark Zuckerberg. (Kelly’s last post, 17/2). The debate has already occurred in the medical literature. Initial poorly designed studies disparaging HCQ have been debunked. Multiple reviews have supported its use when given early and in combination. Mr Kelly’s experience has forced Facebook to show its editorial bias, effectively stripping it of its liability waiver as a supposed “third party” information carrier. The federal parliament cannot ignore the published best practice in the medical literature, even if Facebook chooses to do so. In fairness to Zuckerberg, You-Tube has taken down and blocked the comments of many doctors talking about their positive experiences with HCQ. Alan Sexton, North Parramatta 18Feb2021.
