Peta Credlin has shared an excellent perception of the life and times of Trump’s preselected vice president JD Vance and his rags to riches life so far (“Trump’s VP pick is a lesson for Australia’s bludgers”. 21/7). Refusing to accept the inglorious label of being a victim is surely his prescription for success. The ‘victim’ mindset refuses to accept that people in our lives are imperfect, do wrong and the emotional traumas created need not be irreversible. Forgiving those hurting us prevents the potential permanency of such wrongs destroying our lives completely. JD Vance surely proves that refusing to accept the short term benefit of being a victim as self-justification for some compensation, and embracing forgiveness and a zest for life’s challenges will open up chances for success at its highest levels.
