The challenges of the news cycle surely wear us all out as we struggle with a cacophony of bad stories and bad people appearing in the news. But every so often, our spirits lift when awe-inspiring events fill us with joy and celebrate the gift of humanity. Looking healthier than ever, John Farnham was beaming in the wedding photos shared with son Rob. I expect Samson and Delilah were not on the wedding guest list, but it looks like they paid John a visit during his recovery from mouth cancer. Either that or Sadie, the Cleaning Lady tidied him up a bit. Without those golden locks, our own superstar might almost have gone unrecognised. Alan Sexton, North Parramatta 18June2024
