The notion that Covid would only kill the frail and elderly has been long discarded, with the clinical evolution of young people without underlying illnesses succumbing to the virus. News that former world champion kickboxer Frederic Sinistra has died after contracting Covid must prove to the most recalcitrant anti-vaxxers that their course is doomed. It should be questioned how someone could legally discharge themselves from hospital when the low oxygen levels of a Covid-infected person clouds judgment and calls into question the duty of care of the doctors allowing the discharge.
