There is no shortage of the exaggerated self-importance, as the media vent lambasting opinions on Harry and Meghan. (The disloyal royals – Andrew Bolt column, 24/2). Wanting to get away from a scathing media is understandable after Princess Diana’s torture. The Queen and Prince Philip had two years of privacy in Malta after getting married. Why can’t Harry have some time away? The nastiness expressed by the media against them has intensified with their retreat from public life. Why is the media reacting with such venom against Harry and Meghan? I believe that Australians loved them when they visited and so we are loathe to blindly accept the judgments of Mr Bolt.
