This weekend, HRH Prince Harry launches the Invictus Games. This event, which Harry established himself, gives recognition to those injured combatants whose sacrifice during war should never be forgotten. Sport is an amazing tool to counter isolation and depression. It fosters co-operation, achievement and friendship. While peak physical fitness is a common characteristic of young men sent to war, injuries may sap the motivation and ability to take part in sport. The Invictus Games creates the forum to turn that around. It allows a sports-loving public to cheer the hearts of our injured young soldiers.
