Nimbin bushfire evacuee Ginger O’Brien eloquently put the case against politicians point scoring while the state burns. (Nimbin evacuees unleash on Labor circus 13/11). Nothing can fire-up human passions more vehemently than the complete destruction of our homes. In minutes, the entire repository of life’s memories are incinerated into meaningless ash. When critical action is demanded, the political class wandering around like spoilt tourists in front of cameras is most unwelcome. I would strongly suggest Labor leader Anthony Albanese accompany the PM next time to prove his commitment to bipartisanship.
