Firing on all cylinders
Joe Hildebrand is certainly firing on all cylinders as he evokes a savage storm of literary thunderbolts on the heads of the political corpses of the Greens and Teals after their election comeuppance last week (“End of the road for these smug sooks”, Saturday Telegraph, 10/5). Without a hint of writer’s block, our favourite columnist is boundless in holding these lefty misfits to account, highlighting their true histories of complaining but having no solution. They bemoan foreign challenges beyond their control, such as sanctimoniously lamenting the plight of pregnant Gazan women while hypocritically advocating for late abortions here. Their hypocrisy is so overcharged with opinionated self righteousness that they seem blinded entirely to any rationality. While the Trump Derangement Syndrome describes the emotionally and intellectually unbalanced protesting in the cities across America, it appears these Teals and Greens have a similar attraction for this demographic.
