Joe Hildebrand is possibly being selective when opining on the lack of morality of President Trump’s actions in regard to bringing peace to Ukraine. With a multitude of recent speeches by President Trump on Ukraine’s war, it is fair to say that Hildebrand didn’t watch them all. Bemoaning the loss of life on all sides, the infrastructure destruction and the inability of President Biden to even attempt to negotiate peace, it’s a bit rich to argue that there is an absolute lack of morality in Trump’s actions, when it is obvious that he is the one hope to end this butchery. Trump will be judged like other presidents in history by his legacy, not the means by which it was achieved. The fact that he is unpredictable as his outcomes materialise is surely a consequence of his opponents needing to be outsmarted, lest the ideological madness of those afflicted by “Trump derangement syndrome” should succeed in depriving the American people of their golden age. With all the intelligence reports available to him from the sophisticated agencies of the US government, the steps he is taking are surely more informed and better resourced than some negative letter writers to The Daily Telegraph who are still advocating for the failing status quo.
